On the downside you may need to wait in a very long line to check out. Parking can be difficult during busy times even though they own the lot and store. The balance this if you already know what you wish to buy you can order it online and just show up long enough to pay and pick up your purchase.
I highly recommend the micro center to anyone who has any grasp about technical details about consumer electronics. If you’re a general population “I don’t know anything about computers” type of person, then you might be better served at a Best Buy.
The technical staff on the floor is generally older and knowledgeable in their areas. Their advice is much more trustworthy then many of the big box computer outlets.
Great place for everything electronics related. They have amazing sales. Staff is good. Usually pretty busy. I'd recommend going during your lunch hour. Check their website for inventory. It's mostly up to date.
Micro Center is one of a very few full spectrum computer stores in the greater Cincinnati area. The store itself feels crowded as they try to squeeze in nearly every brand name you can imagine in each category.

They have lots of floor models of many products and have a huge selection. I have been coming here since I was a little boy and bought a Mac with a 500mg hard drive! Shockingly it hasn’t changed all that much and is still one of the best places to purchase electronics. It has more of a mom and pop feel compared to a Best Buy but still the large selection and ability to offer good deals.
Staff here is hit or miss - usually they have extensive knowledge but can be a bit difficult to converse with because they’re a little socially awkward. Additionally, they do sell some add ons in a commission type system such as their extended warranties. In this regard it can start to feel like buying a used car.
I highly recommend a visit if you are considering making any component purchase for your technical equipment. They also have areas devoted to Apple, TVs, monitors, printers, software, and networking.

If you are not sure of what you are looking for, it's very easy to loose track of time. It's one of the best places to get all kind computer components. This place offers best price on most of the items and sometimes cheaper than the online stores.
Great store! I have bought many electronics from here. The only thing i would say is the staff is typically really busy and its hard sometimes to get help if you have technical questions. If you know what you want then this place is great and your in and out fairly quick but like most i could wonder around for days in there and not get bored.
